ahaaaha, thanks, i've just read your comment on Mercon's comment section and thought it was brilliant in a rambly kind of way^_^
so, now i'm commenting on that instead of your garden journal, err, sorry:/
you did remind me that i have yet to compile a complete picture of all things dead, of which i'm grateful for... there was something i felt i needed to say about you journal but now i'm sorry to say i don't know what it could've been..

The picture in your first post is so cool! How lucky. Wink

I am still in awe of that amazing symmetry your garden developed just before you got your feeding table! Shocked

There are two things I really enjoy looking at in life, one is perfect balance and the other is absolute chaos! Of course I can't see you supplying me with the latter but I imagine your garden will always have a lovely balance to it Very Happy

I'm looking forward to when your birds appear, especially the blue ones because I think they are the cutest! I love you

I try really hard not to see what the various fruits (I don't mean fructuses now) that I haven't had yet look like, until I grow them myself. It's utterly daft and futile, but I try to look away if I stumble on a garden that has something I haven't seen yet! I accidentally saw a frog yesterday and was devestated Sad And I avoided the dragon flies for ages, but saw one last week by mistake! I stopped watering entirely, except my own garden, until my Valentine's flower had fruited! Now how dopey is that, and why the heck did I start on that subject...there was a reason...oh yes, I have not studied the birds closely, just kind of glimpsed them out of the corner of my eye Suspect so cannot say if I have a favourite. I will tell you once I have all mine!

I admire your self-control! It must have been very difficult when wildlife first occurred, I guess you could always click on the garden name and then scroll down to check the level before looking at the plants Very Happy

I'm the type of person who will occasionally sneak a peak at the last page of a book study (but only if it is taking a while for me to get into...honest!)

That is such a neat picture of Claud eyeing up the mouse! Very Happy
What a beautiful animal, I was admiring him earlier and wondered what he was called. Claud certainly suits him, such a classy name!

In fact, his real, pedigree, name is Claudius, Emperor of Rome, and his little sister is Cleopatra, Queen of Egypt (known as Nastikins because she is, unlike Claud!)! Claud is a sweetheart and really loves to be picked up and cuddled, cradled on his back like a baby, and he talks to me. No, really...he does.... Rolling Eyes

I believe you, I have a very talkative, soppy cat too, but she is also a little bit crazy. When she's in one of 'those' states my daughter always says "Rainbow is in a mooooood!" affraid and we all know to keep feet off the floor (and preferably in shoes without laces) and put cushions over our heads! I swear that cat can climb smooth walls when she's 'wired' but luckily these moods only last half an hour or so and if we're feeling brave enough, we will grab her and put her outside for the duration!

PS. I love your cats names, but I can see why you would shorten them! Very Happy

I must say I love the chicks! I wasn't sure the daffs were even going to fruit so it was such a fun surprise to find this morning.

I was hoping the fruit would be lots of different coloured Easter Eggs! Anyway, daffodils and chicks are soooo yesterday now...I've moved on, or back, to badgers again now!!

My goodness Linda, you are a cold, ruthless woman! Shocked but I guess you at least took a screen shot!
I admired each of my chicks for all of 3 seconds and then replaced them with a mountain whisper herb and another aviflora! Didn't even bother with the picture-taking business Twisted Evil

Well, my daughter will want to see what she missed when she returns from her 4 months in Nepal and unfreezes her own garden, so I thought a screenshot was the least I could do!

Spotting your first tortoise was very exciting for me too.......it even overshadowed the badger being spotted in my garden! Maybe because it was so unexpected, I was all prepared to choose the wrong mushroom as I so often do and then 'kabam' there it was.......Yay! cheers

I am delighted that your Parrot finally arrived...twice! cheers cheers You were incredibly patient with the whole waiting thing...or at least you didn't make it obvious you were tearing your hair out...hee hee!

I must also say, I do like your garden as it is now...very beautiful with such a striking contrast between the colours of the flowers. The Odonatas have such elegant blooms. Very Happy

Re: Wildlife Wonderland: Comments Welcome Here

Post  nicolle on Wed Jul 01, 2009 7:04 pm

I only just saw your earlier post about my parrot, Tara. I think it only seemed that I was being patient because I did the waiting in easy stages, taking breaks in between and attracting other things. Thirteen platters in a row would have driven me crazy, but I did them in threes and then a four at the end. It was ironic that the wretched bird came neither for the pair of bonsais nor the raised table, but once I dumped one bonsai and switched to the low table, so I could alternate between the parrot and the bunnies without constantly buying a new table (there's the shed argument again...) along he came. Twice! I hope the kingfisher doesn't give me the same trouble. I definitely believe that the red fish is important. I spotted a kingfisher in a garden which only had one fish and it was red. Red was the one Victoria didn't have while she was waiting for hers initially and it only came when she harvested a few and grew the red one. I shall be doing red, orange, yellow, green and blue to start with. Indigo as well, if I've done the first three cacti by then and there's no new one.

This has turned into a book...sorry! Rambling, as ever. Bed for me; gone midnight Sleep
