Wow!
I'm guessing you hadn't even heard that they existed in Fairyland at the time! Very cool.

I had, April...someone mentioned them on my wall, which was why it was 1.30am over here when it happened. Normally I WOULD be in bed at that time. Really!!

You girls really make me smile! I do think the roadrunner is especially freakin' awesome - when I saw your picture of him Linda I admit I did gasp a little. But unfortunately the satisfaction I used to feel about being in fairyland has left me. I don't think I will be able to hang out with you girls much longer as fairyland actually makes me frustrated and depressed. The only reason I have lasted this long is you fantastic fairy friends, that will be the part I miss. I don't know how you girls are finding it, but I have spent a lot of time looking for wildlife and for me the occasional finding does not make up for the endless fruitless searches. And that's not what I want from fairyland. I loved the methodical growing and harvesting of plants, just like a real garden - but wildlife puts too much of an element of competition and chance to the app that I didn't like in all the other apps I tried before this one. I have thought about removing my table and just going back to growing, but that's going to be kind of lonely - I liked when we were all in it together, growing and nurturing instead of hunting. I'll be around a bit longer, but I think soon I will have to say goodbye.
PS - Linda, I'm really happy you got your parrot(s) - what a relief!!

Oh, no, Liz...it will be a sad day in Fairyland if you decide to leave. Your garden is one of the ones I visit every day and, even though the lop eluded me there, I've had some good finds.
Don't go, your friends will miss you.

Liz, I would be very sad if you decide to leave Fairyland. I would definitely miss you.
Personally, I do feel the competitiveness across the application that the Wildlife aspect has brought out. I'm naturally competitive, so I do have to consciously pull back if I notice it's all starting to 'matter' a bit too much to me. I still have a number of animals and birds to spot and/or attract to my garden, so I sometimes feel like I'm lagging behind. (It's all relative, I know!) I have to tell myself that it's not a race and that the anticipation and fun just lasts longer that way.
I understand what you mean about it being lonely if you get rid of your food table ... even though I'm sure you would still have lots of visitors (me, for one)!
Play it your way, Liz. I hope you decide to stick around.

I have had such a lucky time in Fairyland today!
It started off with spotting an AUSTRALIAN KING PARROT for the very first time in a garden I visit regularly...both of us were thrilled to bits!!
I then wandered off and came across a random garden with 2 fluffy clouds, a fresh plate of birdmix but nobody visiting! Within 3 sprinkles (which were spread out over an hour) I had spotted his first KIWI!
I then proceeded to haunt my brother's garden which also had a fresh plate of birdmix and voila...his first ROADRUNNER had appeared!!!!
I don't think I will be able to reproduce this day in a hurry, but for one who has been a bit frustrated with Fairyland lately, it was the perfect tonic!!!

Re: The place where you can shout: "Hey! I just spotted a ......"!!
Thank you all for your kind comments!
I didn't really think I could repeat such a good day so soon, but I have. Only one critter this time but it was my very first...KINGFISHER, spotted in a friends garden!
I was so excited when I realised what the picture was actually of!!! Even though Her garden had many fish plants, I didn't expect it in a million years!

I'm so lucky:
I don't think they are going to be hard to spot, but nice to have one quickly!

I'm so glad to see you are still around, btw. I expect the cat flower was designed specifically to keep you interested

lol, that's so funny - well if that was Mike's intention IT'S WORKED!!
Re: The place where you can shout: "Hey! I just spotted a ......"!!
Lol. I believe in a personal Mike ( ) and I KNOW he introduces new critters the minute he knows I'm relaxing because I just spotted the last one in the existing set!!
I also KNOW he had a "no parrot for Linda Klein" switch, which he kindly turned off when I set out my 13th parrot attracting tray of food.
So it's quite clear to me that the cats are for you
