I didn't realise Lops were so tricky!
This is almost as frustrating as when I was trying to attract a Badger! Almost.
I wanted to get a Lop to my garden, because a fairy friend still needed to spot one. Well..., since I've been trying, she's gone and spotted one elsewhere, LOL! But I'm perservering.
I'm waiting for a second Thornbloom to flower, because just one hasn't proved to be enough. And I'm nearly at the end of the third plate of rabbit food. Only two Brown Bunnies have interrupted the flow of Mice and Mallards!
Was it really this hard for anyone else? Or are the Lops hibernating in my part of Fairyland?

OMG I had so much trouble attracting a Lop it took me two goes. After the first dismal attempt I harvested my 4 Thorns in disgust and it took me weeks to get up the patience to try again. I still haven't managed to see one in someone else's garden, though I've done a fair bit of stalking. Yes, those critters are HARD!

Yikes! You had four Thornblooms?!
Well, now that I know you haven't spotted one in another garden yet ... just makes me more determined to get one in mine.
Stalk away!

Sorry for double posting, but I just went and looked at my garden journal - and the reason I didn't realise Lops were difficult was that I actually attracted my first one pretty early on. It was the fourth type of wildlife I had visit my garden, even before the Brown Bunny or Pygmy Mouse! And I did it with one Thornbloom.

Well it's even worse than that. I just went and checked my journal and I had 5 thorns - yes 5 - on my first attempt. A lop came to that garden within 2 hours of the food being out but it was missed and so was the next one and then I had no more visit (in punishment I think). I planted the thorns as soon as wildlife was announced, but we hadn't figured out how it all worked by the time things started visiting, so it was easy to miss the tricky stuff. I'm sure you remember the pandamonium.

Okay, I'm finished with Lops now!
I ended up getting 2 Lops (one after the other) at the end of the 5th plate of food. (That was with 2 Thornblooms.) So that's satisfied my bunny craving.
I'm just waiting for some plants to fruit and then I'll be hoping for some birdlife.

I remember those times in Liz's garden!
I have just gone back to have another go at the bunnies, as a break from my own fruitless quest for a parrot (10 trays and not even one missed), I've got one Thornbloom in flower and another still fragrant, and I've had two lops call at this first tray. One spotted and one sneakyone that managed to avoid it. I shall try nuts again when this tray of veggies is gone.
