competition Question Empty competition Question

Post  Marmaduke Fri Jan 30, 2009 10:32 am

i've still got 8 GD to go from the previous rock hard question, so they can go to the first correct answer to this question + 3 GD added every week (and sometimes additional DD too) without the answer, feel free to post the reason for your answer ^_^
so far i'm offering 31 GD + 1 DD.
err:
Who links these three?
1.competition Question Youwontfindtheanswerhere

2.competition Question Youwontfindtheanswerhere2

3.competition Question Youwontfindtheanswerhere3

Clues:
1- these aren't Maths signs.
2- he has no relation to the My Fairy App
3- the most significant similarity between this person and Moominpappa is that they are both male and have both appeared on television.
4- the "5" is not to be read as a number, rather seen as a shape.
5- they were born in the 1930s
6 - their name is two syllables and two syllables
7- some notation can be taken from the cover of a book called "Cows" & is a form of British language.
8- that's about it for the clues, most of the question is working-out how to see the signs, the rest can be done in google by matching the films^_^
so far we know that they're not one of the following:

A.A.Milne
a dead pink ribbon plant

To be honest, I see here:
a diameter sign
a number five who can't decide if he's bigger or smaller than a letter t lying on his back (the five is here several times so I won't mention him again)
a boy and a girl skipping rope
a radish with a long nose
a dead pink ribbon plant
two of those deadly red Super Mario Bros. flowers, the second one is shooting fireballs
a piece of railroad leading nowhere

I think these are better than Rorschach tests, you know, the ink stain ones.

Cliodhna mentioned Pythagoras, so as the final thought of the day, I'll share a lovely quote from him with you:
"There is a good principle which created order, light, and man, and an evil principle which created chaos, darkness, and woman." study

Good night everyone, I'm way past my bedtime as usual...

I'm trying hard to make it be a pictorial representation of the flowers required at the first three levels of the gardens, which would make the connection Mike, but I can't quite get there.

If it's not mathematical, then it has to be a code or a picture, and the above is my best guess, at the moment.

I thought I might find a clue on Marmaduke's FB Profile so I went for a bit of a fossick and saw he was a member of a prevention of cruelty to Moomins group. I used to read those books as a kid (and loved them - I recently reread them, I think any fairyland lover would enjoy them) and I thought there might be a clue in them. I flicked through them last night and remembered that Moominpappa was a bit of an ideas Moomin and the crazy calculations could just have been the sort of thing he was into. Thought it was worth a shot. tongue
