This forum was created by a user for the users as a way for us to assist one another as we pass through the levels.

The My Fairyland application was created by Mike Pope, and can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=6956662042

The official discussion board for the application can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/board.php?uid=6956662042

Much on the information found on this forum is from the discussion board. Many fairyland users deserve the credit for their hard work. I do not claim their work as my own, I have only attempted to create a more user friendly environment for all users to find the information.

I believe I've seen this question before, but I can't find it now...is it OK to advertise this board on the other one?

I guess it is, but to tell you the truth, I like it the way it is, wouldn't like it to turn into another sad DB silent

There's a new one here: http://faerietimes.webs.com/index.htm which I'm sure you've all seen. Somehow I feel safer on this one though. I love you

I feel the same way. And this one seems so much more organized and attractive. Mostly due to Ron's hard work with all the flower almanacs.

And yes you can advertise on the DB about this one. If drama from the DB comes here, the users will be given a warning, and if they do not change their attitude, they will be banned. Discussion and disagreement is fine, but personal insults will not be tolerated.

Laura, can you lock threads here so that people can't post on them anymore? It might become handy if the conversation becomes too heated. Couple of threads on the DB should have been locked a long time ago in my opinion... Smile

I can lock threads, delete posts, and even ban users. I'm pretty much the god of this forum Twisted Evil mwhahaha. Kidding, I won't let the power go to my head. I hope no issues arise but in case they do they will not be allowed to get out of hand. I believe the moderators may have the power to lock threads and delete posts as well, in case I'm not around for something. And of course in the case of any issue a private message about the situation can be sent to myself or one of the mods.

Thanks for the replies. I saw the other new one and thought how much nicer this one seemed, and then I thought there might be people using the original one, who don't like it much and are looking for something better, but don't realise that this one exists. That was how I arrived at the question. I agree that it's very nice as it is, but there are hardly ever any other members here when I look...maybe not many people are in the UK so operating on different times, or maybe not as obsessed as me...so I thought a few more members might be good.

It's a shame we can't just say "you can only join if you promise to be nice". But then I guess everyone thinks they are nice until they meet someone who doesn't agree with them. Smile

A lot of the issues seem to happen when a number of fairies get offended (as they have every right to do) by a miswritten comment and then the issue escalates out of control when the offender hits back etc. I was thinking, maybe we can have a "safe" word, like if we don't like a comment we can just quote it and type "END" and not comment again and then if deemed appropriate the thread can be locked. It might stop us getting involved in a heated discussion and still allow us to voice our opinion without getting involved. And we would know we offended someone if we got and "END" response, so we would get a chance to say sorry without responding to potentially hurtful accusations. I don't know, maybe it's a silly idea. tongue

OR if we're offended, we could just say so before starting any accusations and check if we really understood correctly what the other person meant... Wink

I think that's what we'd do, though, isn't it?

Must say, I had fun in the chat room today!

Hello,
I'm new to this site and fairly new to Fairyland! Would just like to say that I've had a look around and I think this site is really lovely; it feels as though it's everything a Fairy Forum should be; friendly and helpful with nothing nasty.

Thank you and keep up the good work flower

Am hoping this posts ok ~ not really done this before and although I've read the FAQ's I'm sure I'll go wrong somewhere ♥️
