Re: Random Ramblings
We have decided to do the ceremony at the reception site as well. It's a cute little 'mansion' looking home in the town we're in. It has a small ballroom in it with a stage. It's not the ideal situation, but we're pretty happy with it. I'm very much looking forward to this wedding being over and being able to enjoy the start of our marriage and new life together.
Re: Random Ramblings
Sounds lovely! I remember the stress and strain all too well in the time leading up to the ceremony, but on the day I had never had so much fun in my life, nor felt so beautiful!
But you are right, it is the life together that matters the most! I still get a buzz now when I refer to Anthony as my husband and it's been almost a decade

I'm still giddy about being able to call him my fiance. It will be two months fairly soon since we got engaged and sometimes I still have to pinch myself to make sure this is all real.
Latest blooms
A flying banana????? that was unexpectedly hilarious!
The new Opis Iridiflora is rather beautiful though isn't it?

I'm thinking maybe a whole lot of precious gems! It will be exciting to find out.

I HAVE NEVER WON AT SNAIL RACING! EVER! I always pick the brown one cause I figure it has to win one of these days because it says 25% chance of winning, but I think it lies. Usually it's the yellow or the maroonish one. Anyone else not like snail racing at all???? :/

Re: Random Ramblings
I agree, I'm not a snail racing fan. But the majority of the fairies who visit my garden say they prefer it to mushrooms so I have it for them. I think it's too slow and I rarely win. Though I'm warming to it - I have decided to only choose the second from the bottom and it wins quite a bit more often than the others - I've won a dragon scale which is my special item so that was cool.Emily&Dreamer wrote:I HAVE NEVER WON AT SNAIL RACING! Re: Random Ramblings
i know there are loads that feel the mushrooms are better than snails, but not liking it at all seems a bit harsh:/ ^_^ the snails have fun factor 10 whereas the mushies only go up to 2 on the Funfactorometer:(Emily&Dreamer wrote:... Anyone else not like snail racing at all???? :/
if we could review races that have been played in our gardens and perhaps enter them into some kind of Annual Fairyland Snail Racing Competition thing or perhaps get stats for our snails and start some sort of league and things and stuff^_^
i saw a snail move so fast earlier, that i snorted in disbelief at it's err, recovery to win the race, 'cos that's what they do don't they? they sort of pretend like they're not interested then, (and this is also when the others come to a halt) go for it...
brilliant stuff... where's my badger?

Re: Random Ramblings
I used to feel like that Emily (couldn't win to save myself) but I have had more luck on the snail races lately than I have had on the mushrooms! Like Liz, I won my special item last night and as I haven't seen a rare fungus for such a long time I was delighted!Emily&Dreamer wrote:I HAVE NEVER WON AT SNAIL RACING! EVER! .....:/
I haven't found a badger yet either marmaduke but was thrilled to discover one had been spotted in my garden during the wee hours of this morning...yippee!Marmaduke wrote:... where's my badger?
Re: Random Ramblings
it was more of a vent of frustration... I can't say I don't like it "at all"... I've actually only snail raced about a dozen times or so (I tend to avoid gardens with snail racing, i'm not sure why). I always choose the brown one and it has never won, but I know when I switch it will win, because that is my luck. And good luck with your badger, i'm visiting a few times a day

Re: Random Ramblings
we hoped it was that, err, sorry, they can be very frustrating. hmmm, not apologising there because i'm anything to do with your frustration about the snails or anything, but that i was pointing out your frustration again by stating simply that they are frustrating, err that must too be a little vexatious, errm, hmm... sorry.Emily&Dreamer wrote:... frustration...
anyway, err, i don't think marmadukes garden is currently maxed for badgers, we've stopped that shenanigans for a bit whilst the Easter Bunny's out and about the place, also, we're in two minds about spotting them and hunting them, i'd prefer to sit back and let them happen whilst marmaduke's all up for the hunt, not to eat them though, err, but he does sometimes.

Re: Random Ramblings
So I told laura I was going to gloat about this, cause it was freaking awesome. I went on a lucky streak and got 10 diamonds in a row. First I correctly picked 4 mini-mushrooms in a row, and then I found a bee eater in a garden (the first one in that garden) giving me 6 diamonds. It was pretty freaking sweet.

Re: Random Ramblings
I just popped into the forum before and must have been logged out from my last visit as there were a series of ads across the top of the board! They are quite discrete so ordinarily I wouldn't pay any attention. But after reading several threads in the Fairyland DBs, with many complaining about the large population of 'pests' in the gardens over the last wee while, this one caught my eye! I almost fell off my chair laughing!!!!!!

Re: Random Ramblings
Lol indeed Tara!
I have never seen those ads, but I do get logged out sometimes, I suspect when I log in at work (don't tell). I HAD to log in at work when I was on my seemingly endless quest for a parrot in my garden, because I can't access FB at work, it's barred, but I knew that if someone who uses this forum spotted my parrot they'd post it here. I was very desperate in those days
I expect we'll be doing it all over again for the kingfisher soon. Can't wait to be growing fish
